In 2016, the "Superconducting Energy Storage - Current Limiting Power Regulation System" developed by the company successfully passed the on-site technical acceptance of the National 863 Program Research Group.The 1MVA/1MJ superconducting energy storage and current limiting system developed by this project is the world's first multifunctional superconducting power device that is actually connected to the grid.This device can effectively solve the problems of unstable power output, large short circuit capacity and high requirement for low voltage crossing ability in renewable energy grid-connected power generation, improve the grid-connected utilization rate of new energy power generation, and create a pioneering application of multi-functional superconducting power device in power grid, especially in wind farm.
